The Singapore Red Cross is organising its signature Red Cross International Bazaar on 21 October 2012 (Sunday) at *Scape in Orchard Road, to raise funds for its local humanitarian programmes to help the disabled, elderly and vulnerable in our community. The President of Singapore, President Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam will be the Guest of Honour at this event.
The International Bazaar brings together diplomatic missions and local enterprises in a dazzling 80-stall showcase, with 100% sales proceeds going to a good cause. Besides serving up international cuisine, traditional products, and local delights, this biennial event also serves to enhance community spirit amongst local families and diplomatic corps.
We aim to raise $300,000 at the Red Cross International Bazaar, and seek your support and goodwill, through these ways:
- Buy tickets and enjoy the International Bazaar with your family and friends
- Volunteer with us at street sales or on event day
- Spread the word about the International Bazaar on your blog and social media networks
- Bulk purchase tickets for your employees and business associates
- Secure tickets on consignment for onward sale
- Make a cash donation to help underwrite the cost of organizing the Bazaar
- Promote the International Bazaar:
(i) Place our publicity posters in your premises
(ii) Place an e-banner on your website and send our EDM to those on your mailing list
Tickets are priced at S$10 each ($100 per book of 10 tickets) and can be used to buy food, beverages and merchandise at the Intl Bazaar. Highlights include American steak sandwich, Arabic coffee, Brazilian BBQ, French tea, Taiwanese pineapple tarts, Thai green curry, Turkish ice cream, Japanese mochi, as well as handmade jewelry, swimwear, bean dolls and teddy bears. There will also be cultural performances and games stalls with prizes to be won!
Your support is crucial in sustaining our effort to continually provide:
a) Residential and day care (including rehabilitation sessions) for beneficiaries at the Red Cross Home for the Disabled
b) Transport aid for elderly, disabled, and finally challenged patients, through the Red Cross Non-Emergency Ambulance Service
c) First aid training to equip youths and volunteers with essential skills needed to save lives at the Red Cross Training Centre, and
d) Community first aid programmes, such as First Aider on Wheels
