  • RCTC Operating Hours - Open Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm (Closed 12:30pm to 2pm & Public Holidays)
  • Course Attendance - 100% is compulsory to sit for the exam.
  • English Proficiency – Employers are responsible to ensure their workers are able to listen, speak and read in English before sending them for our English First Aid courses.
  • Medical Condition - Trainees must be medically fit to perform CPR (resuscitation). Pregnant ladies not allowed.
  • Exam Assessment – On last course day.
  • Singapore Red Cross reserves the right to cancel or postpone the course commencement date. Prices are correct at date of printing.

Standard First Aid (SFA)

For the general public, homes, schools, offices, community, etc who wish to be equipped with skills to render first aid in times of urgency.

Topics include first aid treatments to wounds, fractures, burns and adult CPR. Trainees who successfully complete the course will be certified a first-aider, valid for 3 years.
This course is Skills Development Fund (SDF) Approved-in-Principle.

Refresher Standard First Aid

Conducted for those renewing their Standard First Aid certificates, which expires at the end of three years. Topics covered in the Standard First Aid course will be revisited during this course.

Trainees are encouraged to attend this course three months before their certificate expires.

Enrollment Criteria: Trainees must have a valid (not expired) Standard First Aid / Adult First Aid certificate issued by the Singapore Red Cross, St. John Ambulance or Ministry of Manpower. Red Cross reserves the right to reject the application if the certificate has expired (i.e. Validity of the Standard First Aid certificate is 3 years from date of issue).

Workplace First Aid (WFA)

For those mainly in the security industry.

Trainees will be equipped with the relevant knowledge and application skills that are required to demonstrate first aid, CPR and AED skills in the workplace. With these competencies, trainees will be able to render first aid confidently to a casualty before the arrival of the ambulance in order to save one life. Trainees who successfully complete the course will be certified a first-aider, valid for 3 years.

This course is a SDF (Skills Development Fund) and SRP (Absentee Payroll) Approved-In-Principle and is accredited by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) under the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework.

First Aid Training for Infant/Child Care Personnel (ChFA)

For those who need first aid skills and knowledge on infant and child, and a requirement for MCYS licensed child care personnel.

Topics covered include techniques to treat wounds, fractures, burns, bleeding, fever in an infant/child and others. Trainees who successfully complete the course will be certified a first-aider, valid for 3 years.

This course is Skills Development Fund (SDF) and SRP (Absentee Payroll) Approved-in-Principle and accredited by the National First Aid Council (NFAC). This is a required course for the Ministry of Community Development, Youth & Sports (MCYS) licensed Child Care Personnel.

Occupational First Aid (OFA)

For companies that need to meet the requirement of the Ministry of Manpower’s Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006.

At the end of the course, trainee will be well informed about safety issues at the workplace and be equipped with the appropriate knowledge to react during an emergency or accident. Trainee will also be well informed to undertake preventive actions towards the occurrence of an accident at the workplace. Topics covered include First Aid, CPR, AED, Industrial Safety, Accident prevention and Industrial toxicology pertaining to the provision of first aid at the workplace. Trainees who successfully complete the course will be certified a first-aider, valid for 3 years.

With effect 1 May 2010, trainees will also be taught on the how to resuscitate a collapsed adult using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

This course is Skills Development Fund (SDF) and SRP (Absentee Payroll) Approved-in-Principle and Accredited by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Refresher Occupational First Aid (ROFA)

Conducted for those renewing their Occupational First Aid certificates, which expires at the end of three years. Topics covered in the Occupational First Aid course will be revisited during this course.

With effect 1 May 2010, trainees will also be taught on the how to resuscitate a collapsed adult using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Trainees are encouraged to attend this course three months before their certificate expires.

Enrollment Criteria: Trainees must have a valid (not expired) Occupational First Aid certificate accredited by OSD under the accredited Training Provider certification scheme to attend Refresher Occupational First Aid course. Red Cross reserves the right to reject the application if the certificate has expired (i.e. Validity of the Occupational First Aid certificate is 3 years from the date of issue).

This course is Accredited by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Heart Saver Adult CPR (CPR)

For those who want to learn adult resuscitation (CPR) and how to relieve adult choking only. A certificate of 2 years will be issued to successful trainees.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

For those who want to learn infant, child and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to relieve choking in these victims. A certificate of 2 years will be issued to successful trainees.

Enrollment Criteria: Trainees must be holders of Standard/Occupational/Adult First Aid or Heart Saver Adult CPR or BCLS certificate. Medical professionals (nurses & doctors) are exempted from this criterion.

This course is Accredited by the National Resuscitation Council (NRC).

CPR + Automated External Defibrillation (AED)

For those who want to increase the chance of survival for heart attack victims with the aid of a defibrillator.

At the end of the course, trainees will be able to apply their knowledge and skills on resuscitating a collapsed adult using CPR and on the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). A certificate of 2 years will be issued to successful trainees.

Enrollment Criteria: Trainees must be holders of Standard/Occupational/Adult First Aid or Heart Saver Adult CPR or BCLS certificate. Medical professionals (nurses & doctors) are exempted from this criterion.

This course is Accredited by the National Resuscitation Council (NRC).
