Our thoughts are with the people affected by severe drought in the Horn of Africa. This collection of photos shows how desperate the situation has become in many areas - and how the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement is responding to the great need.
While the Singapore Red Cross has not raised a public fundraising appeal for the famine, we welcome personal and corporate donations to be given through us, to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC), which are giving aid in the Horn of Africa, Kenya and Somalia respectively.
Please designate your donation accordingly at the back of your cheque, and make it out to “Singapore Red Cross Society.” Kindly send it us at Singapore Red Cross, 15 Penang Lane, Red Cross House, Singapore 238486, indicating your contact details. Alternatively, you can come to this address on weekdays between 9.30am to 5.30pm to donate in cash.
