The Bukit Batok EC site is slated for development by HDB. The government has released the site for public tender and is expecting to sell a total of eight executive condominium units. The project will start from the second quarter of 2016. Upon completion, the new buildings will feature a mixed use design and will be based on contemporary architecture. While there are many advantages and disadvantages to building an EC in this area, the biggest one is its location.
The ECs have a high demand for long-term residences. The current supply of private housing in Bukit Batok is minimal, with the last project, Le Quest, launching in August 2017. The upcoming Bukit EC will be a popular choice among HDB upgraders. The proximity of schools to the site will also help save time and money. Parents will not have to face traffic jams for hours.
The Bukit Batok EC will span a total area of 12,449.3 square meters and a maximum GFA of 37,348 square meters. Once completed, it will feature up to 375 units, with a total of 859 residential units. It is a mature estate, with established schools and retail centres. The last private residential project in Bukit Batok was Le Quest, which saw hot take-up in August 2017. In addition, there are two EC sites nearby, Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 and Bukit East Avenue 8. The latter has the higher GFA, and may compete with Bukit Batok EC in marketing its units.
The Bukit Batok EC is one of the few in the west of Singapore, and is located in the Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 ward. This mature estate is home to a number of amenities, including Ikea Tampines. The ECs are also near the Pasir Ris MRT station, which is due to open in 2030. Buying an EC is a great way to invest in a new home.
There are two ECs in Bukit Batok. The Bukit Batok EC site is located in the area. The MRT station is about three minutes away. The area also has a good range of amenities. It has only one small mall. As for the neighbourhood, it is home to only a few hawker centres. Although there are only a handful of ECs, this one is located near a bus interchange.
The Bukit Batok EC site is in a location with limited private housing supply. The last private residential project in Bukit Batok was Le Quest, which launched in August 2017. The new EC could attract a lot of HDB upgraders, who have been unable to find a suitable plot in the suburb. The land price is expected to be about $680 per sq ft per plot ratio.
Bukit Batok EC is also convenient as it is located near to Hillion Mall. Hillion Mall is a large shopping complex in Bukit Panjang, Singapore. This mixed-use development includes a retail complex, bus interchange, residential units, and two MRT and LRT stations. In addition, the mall has several food vendors, a Kopitiam, and other stores and services. The mall offers a friendly, inviting environment, making it a great place for shopping and eating. You can even get a ride on a nearby bus or LRT station.
Bukit Batok EC is also highly popular as there plans are revealed by HDB with regards to a master plan for the Tengah district. This area will become a ‘Forest Town’ with an emphasis on sustainability, nature and quality living. The new development will also include a ‘forest corridor’ connecting the various catchment areas, and a green network linking the central and western parts of the island. In addition to a ‘forest corridor’, the project will also include dedicated bike and pedestrian paths throughout the town. Bukit Batok EC is located near to Tengah Town and will benefit from this
The Jurong Lake District near Bukit Batok EC is a sprawling redevelopment area in Singapore’s southern part. It includes the new Central Park, above the HSR terminus, and the former Jurong Town Hall. A green connector loop will encircle the new business district and provide a place for various recreational activities. Originally, the area was an abandoned marsh. With recent redevelopment, the project has gained international recognition and is expected to benefit the entire community.
Bukit Batok EC will also benefit from the amenities of Bukit Batok Town. Bukit Batok Town is located near the National Library Board and therefore Bukit Batok EC will be benefit from this. It also has a park and a lake. The Bukit Batok Nature Park is also located in the vicinity. Despite its name, there is no park here, and there are no public toilets. The National Library Board has made arrangements for restrooms to be available for visitors. Nevertheless, many residents find the Bukit Batok Nature Reserve to be a tranquil haven.
